What should I do before renting a dumpster?
First and foremost, plan out where the dumpster is going to be placed on your property. If there's adequate space for both the dumpster and the delivery truck to place and remove the container.
In our experience, drivers delivering a 30—or 40-yard dumpster need a 60-foot approach to the delivery spot and 23 feet of overhead clearance.
Additionally, a few good questions to ask yourself in order to be prepared are:
- Are there any overhead hazards like power lines, trees, cables, etc., that could potentially cause an issue when delivering or removing the dumpster?
- Does the dumpster door have ample space to be opened and accessed once placed?
In addition to these considerations, please see all information on Customer Liabilities and Responsibilities.
According to Moving.com, a 10-yard dumpster is well-suited for small-scale home projects before a move and for small to medium-sized landscaping projects. For questions about dumpster rentals and what size is best, contact Bennett Trucking today.
